Texas Redfish Report (TRR) is a dilapidated old shack perched on the shores of the East Bay where tequila is sipped and chew is spit into empty Corona bottles. Where grizzly Fly Fishing vagrants gather to sleep on couches and floors, tie flies, tell lies, and catch-up on the latest flats knowledge. Stop by to share stories, pictures, reports, and rumors.

Bote Board - One of the Good Ones

I can think of a better way to spend time in the Gulf Coast flats than casting a fly from a Bote Board.  I am desperate to get my hands on one of these boards.  Everything I enjoy about fly fishing seems to be embodied in a SUP (Stand-Up Paddle Board):  simplicity, solo fishing, exercise, minimal impact, and a close connection to the environment.  With any luck, I can get my hands on a Bote Board for the Lydia Ann Fly Masters in July. Give the company a look:  Bote Boards.  A great company with a great product.

The Birth of a Legend:
Founded in 2009 by Magda and Corey Cooper, BOTE's roots were very modest. BOTE literally grew from the simple concept of developing a stand-up paddle board that is designed to be fished from–a board that would justly serve fisherman, surfers and paddle enthusiasts alike.
